    SO I’ve been slacking but quick update: We have 5 babies! :)
    and yes I know that TRES are usually very dive bombing – hard to spook but I’ve never had the box totally open and her just sitting there looking at me like “close my wall please.” lol

    Hey Judy,
    I would have to look at my book. Its possible, dont think I Have seen one, though some are orange-ish by the looks of it and could be mistaken for orioles if you were not experienced as i learned the first year that I had to identify TRES and Barn swallows and so on, I haven’t been at this as long as some in the forum. I will consult my book!

    Not sure who is checking in on what threads so maybe repetitive but I too now have TRES building a nest in a box!!!

    I think the birds know the weather better than we do. I had TRES start their nests last week and disappear.. today I see them back building away, but its WAY warmer and less windy than it was yesterday!

    Hey ladies just a quick note I made my spookers out of dowl and bought from the good old dollar store the “happy birthday” banners and cut them up. I assume this is also mylar – or a close enough twin that they have always done the job for me. made three spookers for under $10 and attached them with pipe clamps.
