Caught my 1st HOSP this morning and cleaned out TWO other completely filled HOSP nests. I knew there was a pair staking claim to the nest where I set the trap, but couldn’t believe they built two other nests without my knowing. My pair of BBirds had been trying to claim this box, and it wasn’t 15 minutes until they were on this house again, going in and out out of the hole. I will be keeping a vigilant watch from now own. Spring is around the corner. (P.S, I caught the HOSP within 15 minutes of setting the trap and there are plenty more out there). Sure hope my blues get at least one box to nest in (I have 4), although it is plenty early.

You already have that much action? Amazing. Nothing going on here. Everybody must be too wet. All we have is rain…all the time!

We had a few dry, warm days last week, but had plenty of rain this morning and colder! They will be hunkering down for a while probably.

Raining here in PA after a few spring like days. See my Blues at the front box every day now. Had one pair at the back box on Monday, might be the same pair. Going to turn real cold here again tomorrow night and thru the weekend, then warm up again. Good work Carol with the HOSP elimination, would be great if we could get rid of all of them.
