      Hi Everyone:
I had not checked the second nest in over a week due to the wet, windy cold weather we had been getting. We finally got a good day a week ago so I thought I would check things out and was shocked to see not 3 but 4 beautiful blue eggs in the nest. :flippingblue:
I thought Mama was incubating the 3 eggs I had seen the week before but evidently she was just keeping them warm and laid one more. Tomorrow should be hatch day. :hoppingblue:
The 4 from the first hatch are all still here, and they all have learned to use the mealworm feeder. I see them at it along with Mama and Papa a few times a day. The little ones are flying so well, I have to get the binoculars out to make sure it isn’t the adult female. Things are looking real good here in Western PA.

Connie…That’s exciting to have one more surprise egg. Hopefully the eggs all hatched today.

It’s been 10 days since my BB fledged, but I have not seen any of them yet. Parents started a new nest yesterday. Did you have to wait long to see your fledglings? I’m really enjoying watching all bird action. Happy birding.

          Hi Judy:
Yes, it did take a while before I saw my fledglings, I think they stay mostly in the trees until they get stronger and they can fly a little better. Now they zip around almost as good as the adults.
All the eggs did hatch, so if all goes well there will be 4 more BB’s in the sky in about 15 days.
Glad to hear yours are building another nest, I am hoping mine will do the same. Keep us informed.
