oohhh I’m so mad at myself. Finally caught the HOSP although I think it was the female. When I had the bag over the house and opened it up, she escaped. GRRR! :TwoHosp: Now I’ll never catch them. Any good ideas?

Well, I just caught the house wren. Boy was she mad. LOL Let her go – hoping she won’t be back.

I think you’ll catch her again. We’re dealing with bird brains, you know!

Yes, I agree with Gin – the females are not too smart, that is why we catch them most of the time. I have lost a few during my tenure with BB and a lot of times they return for more. P.S. I really do much prefer to catch males and feel a little sorry for the dumb females. BUT, it takes two to tango!

I left the house closed for a day and didn’t see any HOSP or HOWR but daddy bluebird came to visit so I opened it back up yesterday. No sign of unwanted visitors but this a.m. both mom and dad are claiming the box!!! Keep your fingers crossed.

Sounds like you are on the right track with Mom and Dad checking things out. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
