I don’t know what it is but I can’t seem to get bluebirds on my trail since 2017. Each year has gotten worse. 2016 I fledged 5. 2017 fledged 5 again. The next year, they built a nest but abandoned after I found a dead female…no injury just dead in box. This year, zip, nada. Not even a sighting there. It’s really depressing. Also usually get tree swallows in my yard. They arrived on Easter Sunday…came by the next two days in the morning. Haven’t seen them since! At least I had the swallows in my yard last year. Now nothing. Maybe there’s still time
      Just venting.

Phillyblues….it’s still early. Plus the weather has not been the greatest. I hope they show up soon.

Hi philly! I’m in Lancaster and haven’t gotten any blues this season either so far. First time no nest in 4 yrs. I recently replaced the nestbox as I noticed the roof has become leaky. So gonna see what happens with the new nestbox up. As blue diamond mentioned it’s still early. Will keep my fingers crossed. Best of luck to you as well!

Thanks Dana. I hope you get some bluebirds soon! Finally my Tree swallows started activity in my yard but still no bluebird appearances. There’s still a chance though… I’m staying positive as possible. Now I am also working on getting orioles to stick around! My latest mission/challenge.
