      I am experiencing the same “eggs not hatching” that several of you have mentioned. The first egg was laid the 5th of July and the last egg (#4) was probably laid on July 10 or 11. Hatch date should have been July 24 or 25. None have hatched. The female is still sitting on the eggs but it has been hot and I don’t know how long she has been in the nest box. She still flies out when I take out the mealworms each day. We are at day 6 and still waiting.

        Dave,

        That’s truly a bummer especially at the end of the season. Maybe she thinks they’re still gonna hatch since she hasn’t abandoned the nest yet or built a new nest overtop of the eggs. I would wait and see what happens. Here’s hoping for the best.
