First time in three years I had a successful nesting! This year I took no chances thanks to advice from Carol and company I put up the baffle and the spooker….they made it!!! I am so excited but I wonder where they went to. Hope to see them somewhere soon. Now if I could just get some in my yard box this summer! Thank you everyone for your advice.

Congratulations! I’m so glad the spooker and baffle worked well for you.

Great news, Philly Blues – nothing better than to see a nest of bluebirds that you have catered to, fed, worried about and helped in any way possible, become empty knowing they have fledged into this big world. If you have been feeding parents you should see them bring the young ones back in about 8 or 10 days, after they have had them out learning how to hunt and to fly better. My 2nd nesters should be hatching in about a week – will have to contend with the heat this coming week and maybe put on my heat shield.

So excited I heard a bluebird or multiple this morning around my yard…for a good hour. Nothing landed on the box but singing in the trees. Hoping and praying that I get my first yard nesting!!! I did so much work to eliminate sparrows and starlings this year.

That is great news‼️ Love the sparrow spookers, they have been working like a charm around here. Hope you get a nesting in your yard soon. It’s a good sign to hear them singing. Good luck.

Thanks. Nothing today but it was a strange day weather wise with afternoon storms. We’ll see if they return. Bluebirds are so intriguing! A real puzzle to solve 🤪 which makes them so fun. Not sure how much time I have left for a nesting but I do recall a pair almost choosing my yard close to July. Not sure what spooked them.
