It’s Fledge Day for the first brood and I finally got to watch as the first 3 left the nest. I even took photos of the 3rd one.
Here is #3 leaving the nest
Stailizing and heading for the tree
and safely into the tree.
It got too warm to wait around for 4 & 5 but they are ready. I will check later after I get a sandwich. All in all, a good start for the month of June.
I’ll say “it’s a great start to the season”. Congratulations David. Get ready for round number two. Seems like you have pretty good luck with al1 the eggs hatching and fledging of 5 each nesting. Enjoyed the photos…..cool you were able to catch #3 in flight!
P.S…..Just noticed this in picture with #3 in flight. At the very top of the photo, right of the large tree trunk….almost looks like a bear head hiding in the brush (I know it’s NOT, but I like it). Any one else see it or am I just cray cray….lol
