Just stopped by to say hi to everyone. Not much going on here though I did spot a female blue going in the TRES box this morning. Haven’t seen any TRES for a few years now. Don’t think the Dee’s have used their box either since I haven’t spotted any activity there. Will have to wait and see. Hope everyone has a great start to the nesting season.

Good to hear from, Renee. At least you have spotted a bluebird – that’s about all I have done, just spotted a pair but absolutely no activity from them for building a nest. Will be very sad if I don’t get some bluebird activity this year – all I have been doing is trapping HOSP, and that keeps me busy since I have four birdhouses in my back yard, which is about 2 acres.

Spotted a pair on my trail last week but not since….and the swallow incoming. HOSP trapping is all at home…more than usual. They just never seem to stop. Weather is beautiful in SE PA this week. Good luck, everyone!

Hi everyone. I have eggs. Should be 3 today but I’ve been busy with the grandkids. It’s always nerve-wracking when I have eggs this early because if she’s still laying and temps get below freezing the eggs freeze. I told her to wait but she didn’t listen.

Good luck with the cool temps Tammy. BB’s are very independent and don’t listen at all. :)
