Last week my 4 fledged and I literally sat outside all day watching them peek out. Maybe I took a few bathroom breaks but sheesh…All were out successfully by the end of the day! First time I had a day off on fledge day and I still missed it! Hope you all have better luck than I do…
Of course the consolation prize is that first successful nest happy and healthy out in the world, and the fun of seeing them at the mealworm feeder in a few weeks…
Happy season to all. Mine is off to a great start and I hope yours will be too!Lisa, congrats on the fledge. I have only witnessed 1 or 2 fledges in all my 10 years x 2 or 3 nests each year. I really do have another life outside of the blues, but they sure are up there in priority.
