Well, after a night of 16 degrees below zero and daytimes only around 3 degrees, I am sure ready for spring. My bluebirds and dozens and dozens of many other birds are eating me out of house and home, just waiting and looking for their peanut butter suet. I am being more generous than usual the past several days because we have about 4 inches of snow covering the ground (which compared to other places is not too bad)- they are having a hard time – my heated bird bath will only have a small opening the center during this kind of cold – the birds just get on top of the ice and drink out of the hole in the middle. I knock ice out when I can but not when below zero. Oh, by the way, my cage feeders where I feed my suet is located on my back deck railings, so I just have a few feet to go to feed them. Take care everyone and stay well.
