      Hi Randy:
Is it all that snow or the hawk that has lowered your expectations? I know most of the East coast got several lashings with the Nor-Easters slamming down on you folks out that way and maybe another one this coming week. We have been colder than normal for this time of year, but I have seen at least one BB twice or maybe 2 BB’s once. The nights get awfully cold and we get snow from time to time so it will be some time here before nesting starts unless Spring comes in with warm days and nights quicker than normal. I hope things improve out your way soon.

Hi, Connie! Great to hear from you! We will get a late start to the season this year, due to all of the snow, to be sure! Everything is fine, however. My blues are everywhere, just singing and waiting out the late-departing winter. I am looking forward to the warmer weather, and a productive year for whichever pair sets up shop! I certainly hope you have a great year in PA, as well!

Mine are shiny blue and I was hoping for hatching today. Probably tomorrow..
If it makes you guys feel any better I broke my ankle in an ice storm down here in the tropics in January LOL!

Weather has been wonky this year. It went from freezing to the 80’s overnight. Now kind of chilly in the 60’s but mom is on the nest pretty much all of the time and I am stocked with mealworms.

              Hi Randy:
Good to hear it was only the snow that was holding up things with the BB’s. Our weather is lousy but not from snow. We are getting rain and today it is like London, socked in with fog all day long. Thanks for the good wishes, I hope they pan out and I get a productive season. Wishing you the same.

You always cheer me up Randy! I am so happy to be able to get excited over the blues after an awful few week’s with my dog’s health.
                They are such an inspiration!
