I have been seeing my blues all fall & into the 1st week of December at the suet bowl, but have not seen them for about 4 or 5 days now. Believe the NUMEROUS winter birds here in Missouri (Juncos & white-crowned sparrows) are keeping them away. And of course, the HOSP are around, too, eating the suet. I use two cage feeders to exclude the larger birds (they have their own sunflower feeder) but those small birds are just thick. Oh, well, can’t control wild birds, but I sure miss my blues and hope they return soon and that they are okay.

UPDATE: Did see my blues the past two days – guess the weather has been good enough they are not too hungry, but they did eat suet today.

The other winter birds never seem to bother my bluebirds. Glad you are seeing yours now. Mine are coming around too. And my daughter’s are too.
