I have a hanging baskets that is lined with coconut grass (I guess it is called) and have had to change the plants in them because the birds keep taking them apart for making nest’s (my guess). So I have taken the left over from breaking down the original plants and put the coconut in an empty (no plant in it) basket and the Blue Bird female and other birds come and take it like crazy. Is this stuff ok for the birds and won’t harm? And another ?? How do I post photo’s here that I have taken of the female in the plant(before I took it down) working on taking the coconut straw? I don’t see an option only a way to link to another site?
      Thanks

This link should help you post images; http://bluebirdnut.com/forums/topic/posting-tips-for-the-new-bluebird-nut-cafe/

I don’t see any problem at all with the coconut fiber unless it has been treated with some kind of toxin.
