I’d like to start a thread reporting migrating bluebird’s arrival in northern parts of their breeding range. Anyone can participate, even those that have blues all year. I just would like some way to determine when the birds are moving north.
Last spring I put up a question about when blues were traveling north. I don’t think there were any responses. Seems most of the folks on this forum may be in areas where the birds are present much of the year.
If anyone would like to report sightings of migrating blues please participate. Arrival dates may help us northerners who are trying to avoid having boxes full of other species and have boxes with vacancies before they arrive. I don’t mess with other native species once they start nest building, however, I do block off entrances at least until I see Wrens and Bluebirds in our area.
