Perches INSIDE the box

I thought this was an interesting video woth perhea built inside the box. Anyone ever try that? The one in the video appears to like it.

Never heard of this before – only similar thing I’ve seen or done is kerfs cut on inside of box front for some species to cling up on, especially if the wood is very smooth. Interesting.

IF the wood isn’t ultra smooth, EABL don’t seem to need perches, kerfs or hardware cloth. Other species, such as TRES, sometimes need a little help. My boxes have hardware cloth under the entrance hole for insurance.
