Well, my pair built a nest and had the 1st egg in it exactly 11 days after the previous fledging of 5 babies. I believe this is a record for me. The fledglings have been at the mealworm bowl for about 3 days now, also a record, since that would be only about one week since flying away. Parents are still feeding them, that is why I thought this was a little early to be into another nest now. I have put spooker up and will put up wren guard tomorrow. Timing is just about right, since we are going to be gone for about 3 days over 4th of July weekend, so I will have all the “garb” on the box – will also probably put up the heat shield before we leave. We are due for quite a bit of rain off & on all week, so hope the box stays dry. Here we go . . . . . . . .
