Just thought I’d update everyone on my Momma that lost her mate about 10 days ago.
She has kept up and seemed to settle into a schedule. The little ones should fledge anytime, as they are doing the “Jack in the Box” moves!
It seems that Mom is now showing interest in a new man. He is definitely helping with protecting the box anyway. He keeps going to another box so we’ll see what becomes of it.
With all my other broods it was always Daddy that would call and coax the little ones to fledge, I haven’t heard Mom do it yet, I’m hoping she figures it out.
