For the first time in my 6 years at the house I have a EUST building a nest. They are building it in my roosting box that I put up for the winter to protect cavity nesting birds (I had DOWO, BCCH and WBNU use it during inclement weather). Should I destroy the nest and take down the roosting box or just leave it. The EUST are not bothering the EABL’s at all and have Zero interest in the EABL boxes. Thoughts??
Apparently your roosting box had a entrance hole large enough for the Starling – personally I would remove the nest – those starlings are here by the hundreds in my yard- non-native bird.
