The BB’s have been going in and out for about 3 weeks and we finally checked the box.
WE HAVE BABIE’S looks like 4. Enjoying this bunch still not too hot, but don’t like so
much when it gets so hot (100 +) in the summer worry too much about them cooking.March 15, 2018 at 8:33 pm #6137Congrats, Dene – looks like you are 1st here with babies? Where are you located? I will probably not have any eggs until early April here in Mid-Missouri – that is pretty much the norm. My blues have been here all winter and have been trying to claim a box, although the HOSP have too!

March 17, 2018 at 2:41 pm #6140Awesome sight, thank you for sharing. Congrats. Carol I have a neighbor 3 houses north of me with a pair. There have been 5 hanging out in the same area. Think that is the brood from last year still hanging around the parents? If so I’m hoping one of them find my box to the south. ❤️
March 18, 2018 at 5:42 pm #6143Hi Dene:
How refreshing to see those babies. I am getting so excited to see if I get a pair or more this year, but I have to just be patient, it is way too early for that to happen here in Western PA. I am so happy for you, please keep us up to date on their progress.
Connie (PA)March 22, 2018 at 7:47 pm #6153I can’t believe you have babies!!! i thought I would win in south Alabama with my five eggs! Congrats!!!
March 22, 2018 at 7:49 pm #6154I hope to have babies tomorrow!!!
March 25, 2018 at 12:25 pm #6155I think we have 4 also. One egg not hatched 2 days after the others. My absolute bluebird joy has been dampened by my sweet wonderful sheepdog having his bone cancer come back after surgery to save the leg and chemo. He has amputation tomorrow…totally off topic. Trying to find happiness in the sweet baby blues.
I think I have a different pair but they look just like last year’s. They have a different perch and are extremely vigilant and love to bomb me!March 26, 2018 at 12:52 pm #6156The babies are now peeking out of the box opening off and on with a lot of rocking going on with the house.
Mom and Dad are still coming and going with food and removal duty so I think it may be another day or 2 before they fledge.
We have bad storm warnings coming in on Tues night and Wednesday and I hope they don’t try to fledge during that time.
Couldn’t get a shot of the babies with heads peeking so took a couple of Dad and Mom just a few min ago. Dad this year is the prettiest of blue color I have seen yet and Mom looks pretty also.

Thinking about you and ^j^ Hoping All went well with your Sheepdog today ^j^.
DeneMarch 28, 2018 at 2:23 pm #6164Hi Lisa:
I am so happy to hear about your BB babies. I wish I could say the same for up this way, but not time yet.
I also am so sorry to hear about your furbaby. I hope the surgery went well. My SIL has her dogs rear leg amputated several years ago and she was so happy she had done that. He lived for 3 more years and she felt he deserved that chance.
I am thinking of you.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. They are just so beautiful.
Connie (PA)March 31, 2018 at 7:47 pm #6170Thanks for the good wishes! Desi dog is HOME and doing fine, hopping around. Life is better than last week for sure…
And the baby blues are growing so fast! I thought they were a week old but I missed monitoring a few days and think they hatched sooner than I thought. They are turning blue with the beginning of feathers…
April 1, 2018 at 4:16 pm #6171Hi, Lisa! Sorry to hear of the relapse for your pup, but glad he is recovering nicely at home, now. No nesting activity for me up here, yet. Still too chilly, with a forecast for persistent cold throughout April. I can already tell that I am going to have to be very patient this year.
