Carol, my name is Lisa, thanks so much for your time and advice!
I am baffled. I wake up from a half sleepless night to find momma looking for worms. I am still seeing some Sparrows around so I set my two Van Erts in other boxes on my property. In about an hour I go out to check them. Both were triggered so I get my drst out thinking I’m going to put some “decoys” in my cage. I open the first box to find a male Bluebird! I open the second to find another!!!!!
They both took off, obviously. A little while later I see one up on a line wing waving, but she is not showing any interest. She is frantically going back and forth to box with no help. I’m thinking these are different males? Just wanted opinions.
I’m just going to sit back, ha ha, and watch.
