Thank you for the suet suggestion. For some reason I forgot all about that. I took all feeders down while the Blues we’re nesting.
I will try that tomorrow.
Today was so strange. One of the males that I caught this morning in the Van Ert hung around most of the day. He kept going into a different box on my property. It obviously isn’t daddy. He even did go close to the box with the 5 babies but seemed nervous about the spooker.
Mom seems to be keeping up, not as frantic as yesterday. She was catching quite a few bugs and certainly loving the mealies.
Could a new “man” take over so quickly? She seems to barely notice him!
