It’s unusual to not have any frost by now; Oct 6. But I am happy to see, or actually hear bluebirds chattering in the woods around my bluebird trails. Last year and the previous year fledglings would leave the nest and after a week or so I wouldn’t hear bluebirds singing the rest of the summer/fall.

I’m going to say I’ve made an impact on the bluebird populations here. I have no real proof but just feel the populations have grown. It’s been worth the effort for sure.

One way to look at it is every nesting box is a chance for a bluebird pair that the pair didn’t have before.

I’m sure you’ve had an impact on the bluebird population! I feel the same way.
