      Has anyone ever had 2 eggs in one day? I wouldn’t believe my eyes except that I have checked every day religiously with the camera and there was definitely not one yesterday afternoon!
      Round 3, maybe they are in a hurry….

        Nope, never heard of this Lisa, but anything is possible I guess. I have had my mama miss one day of laying maybe two different times (in 10 years) but never 2 in one day.

          Carol, if it wasn’t for my cell camera I would not have believed my eyes. Crazy! Nest was built and looked complete a week after fledge so I have been monitoring like a crazy person!

              I’ve never seen it. But with all the other strange happenings, I would not discount it!

                Everyone else seemed to have a weird year except for me until now. I’m tempted to see what happened this morning, if she skipped a day or not.

                  Mama blue went on to lay an egg a day on schedule. We are done at 5. That was the weirdest thing ever.

                    This is round 3. 9 fledged so far. A good year with no mishaps. Unless the heat gets awful. Always a possibility.

                      I’m wondering if she laid later in the afternoon the day before you saw them. To me that’s more plausible than her laying 2 in a short amount of time.

                        Agreed Tammy! So I am a little confused about when they should hatch. Today is day 14 and not yet

                          Strange. Hope they hatch. It’s been a weird season for me too. I had 3 new eggs recently and only one hatched. This might be my only time to have 3 eggs and it IS my only time that only one baby hatched!!
