2nd nesters fledged

Well, my two bluebird babies which were in nest #2 (other eggs did not hatch) did fledge I believe August 2 – early because only two left & were getting plenty of food for just two. There was one white egg deep in the nest which did not hatch and was too deep for the parents to get out I guess.
I sure was glad – no more worry this year!

that is awesome… Stay Safe baby bluebirds…. I know what you mean by no more worries for sure… I get attached to the bluebirds.

Good news Carol. My nest has not hatched (10 days so I will clear out the box tomorrow. I don’t believe they will try for another nest this late in the season.

Thanks everyone – yes, I hope my pair do not try for another nesting this late, however I did see papa blue on his favorite box again this morning – only time will tell.
David, sorry your nest did not pan out – next season will be here before we know it!

Carol,
Good to hear the baby bluebirds fledged. I’m already missing seeing my bluebird family. After the 3rd brood they don’t hang around much and tend to move on. But I know they’ll be back later this Fall and Winter as I’ll have the mealworms out for them.
