      My baby blues hatched today.

I went out to feed, whistled, and im used to mom coming out of the bird house. When she didnt come out, i checked the box and there were babies. I didnt bother photographing them today, just secured the box. I forgot how tiny they are when first born.

Maybe I’ll get smaller mealworms tomorrow, the ones sold for fishing bait are a tad big for these guys.

            hello bluebird

This is what they look like today. I’m thinking at this point maybe i should stop peeking in on them, lest the mom administer the abandon ship call.

The neighbors are trimming trees along the property line today, i hope the noise doesnt bother them too much. I try to minimize mowing or doing much of anything too close to the box.

Chris, you sound like I do – “don’t get too close to my box where Mama is incubating” I tell my dear hubby! Good work.

Good picture, looks like they have full tummies and resting peacefully.

Great new, Chris – mine are due in about 3-4 days – and YES, it will be a relief.

P.S. I’m glad I’m not alone about making too much noise when they are still in the box – have to remind hubby about this when he starts mowing.
