The past two days my 3 fledglings from nest #1 have been coming to the worm bowl where papa and mama were feeding them, but they finally went inside and ate on their own today. It was so fun to watch when they were learning about the worms – they would shake and beg their parents for some goodies. I do not give them all they want, however, as they need natural foods as a steady diet and worms as a “treat”. The parents are showing them also about finding the bugs, as I see them drop from one of our trees (which are fairly close to house) to the ground and get a bug/goodie. Mama is incubating Nest #2 with 5 eggs and seems to be doing well – that crazy wren is still putting more sticks in the other box after I take some out – keeping it busy is my goal!

Watching the little ones come back to the feeder is fun. I enjoy that also.

Carol, that wren must have OCD. Haha!! So glad the baby blues are visiting your feeder. It’s fun watching them trying to figure out how to use a bird bath too. And congrats on the 2nd nest with 5 eggs! Mine just fledged today!
