Well, my two hummingbird perches are now empty – I had a TANTASTIC season with them. There were times when there were probably twenty-five flying around – fighting for their chance at that scrumptious sugar water! It really seems lonesome without them and all the other birds.
I do see my papa bluebird once in a while – believe the pair are around most of the winter season, since I have nice wooden boxes for them to keep warm in. I do not put out any food any more – they find plenty of bugs which they love. But I do still have squirrels and rabbits around, which I truly enjoy for the winter season. Hope our winter is not too bad – I will be waiting anxiously awaiting for the gang again!!
Love, and hope everyone is doing well Carol

Hi Carol happy to hear about your hummingbird’s. That is a lot of hummingbirds at one time.

At times I see 5 or 6 bluebirds at a time as of today they seem to be trying to run each other off. Not sure if it is the bluebirds that nested. They nested twice this year and I’m not sure if it was the same pair because during the nesting season there were several times that bluebirds were trying to run another set off. Thank goodness the parents dodged the hawks this year and stayed safe. I had 2 fledge the first nest and 1 fledge the second nest.
        Happy bluebirding Carol.. :bluebird6:
