Hi
We just had a our brood leave the nest after about 4 weeks.
Firs egg was laid May 5th and the babies fledged on May 23.
I have a camera in the box and watched the nest building process.
The male started and then the female joined in.
They had a nest built in about a week.
Soon after, the female began laying the eggs – 5 in all.
It is unusual after 4 weeks that no eggs have been laid.
If there are other birds like the House Sparrow or Wrens around, or very hot, they may have moved on..
It may also be possible that one or the other female or male was killed.
I would say after 4 weeks, clean out the nest and clean the box to see if they come back and try again
Also, the last pair here built the nest high based on the pictures and videos from my camera.
Good Luck..
