I didn’t even notice. Spell check often puts the wrong word in for me. Or I just forget to proofread what I wrote.

Not much happening here. The female is sitting on the eggs off and on. I did notice an interesting event about a half hour ago. I just put some mealworms out in the feeder. Both birds watched me. When I went in the house and look out my back window I saw the female blue enter the nest box while the male went to the feeder. After he had eaten a few of the mealworms, he appeared to pick up a couple and flew to the nest box to feed the female. He has just finished his 3rd trip.

I will try to get them awake tomorrow morning after the parents feed the mealworms.

Here they are at day 2. The 2 on either side of the one in the middle had their beaks open before I was able to snap the picture.

I love them. The adults have a lot of work ahead of them.

David welcome back! I always love seeing your bluebird photos! Congrats on the new nest and babies! My bluebird pair just fledged 4 babies a week ago. I’m waiting for the 2nd nesting to begin.

Good to see you also, Dana. I missed a good shot today as i was using my trimmer around the bird house in preparation to mow the lawn tomorrow. I peeked in the box and had 5 little beaks wide open looking for mealworms. I had left my cell phone in the basement. Maybe tomorrow.

Here they are at 6 days. They all stayed asleep. I guess that I didn’t create enough noise when I opened the door.
