I’ve been gone for a long long time too. So long I had to create a new account. I’m a Facebook user. I do a lot of machine embroidery and found groups on there to be very helpful when I was starting out and had lots of questions.
I would love to find some good birding groups on there. Any suggestions?

I’m not on Facebook. I tried it briefly a long time ago, but found that most users seem very self-absorbed and strangely misguided about the fact that anyone wants to view 1000’s of their selfies or read posts about their every thought and feeling. I may be the only one who feels this way, but taking a bunch of pictures of myself and publishing them to glorify myself seems awfully conceited.

I’m a very new member here. I use FB moderately.

Martha, search on facebook. Use the word bird or birding or backyard bird and maybe your state name. We have several in Ohio. I’m on a Ohio Backyard Birds, Birding Ohio, and ohio Bird photography. Oh….I just remembered. I have one for you. It’s called BlueBird-L. Dave was a member here and started that fb group, I think. He’s a nice guy and a good photographer! I’m not a member yet so I’m not sure how active it is.
