Three bluebirds from spring came back

Nice – good to see some activity on the forum. My 3rd nesting fledged about 10 days ago and have only seen 1 or 2 of them begging at the meanworm feeder. Parents don’t seem to be as active about rounding them up to come and eat – guess they are eating natural stuff, which is a good thing as I am almost out of worms.

It’s curious why the young bluebirds came back.

That’s good having the nests at your own place. The nests I see on camera are at my brother and sister’s place. I almost have a new camera at my sister’s but an electrical problem needs to be fixed first. She had two different pairs of four this year.
Another sister has seen them in the suburb of her city. She got her husband to get her a birdhouse camera for this Christmas, which I already have. Just have to find the right time to go install it.
I’d really like to see them come to my birdhouses. They are in my little town. Hopefully next spring.

Bill, sounds like you need to get to have your own nests & blues at your own place next season. I don’t know what I’d do without getting up in the morning, whistling for my blues to come and eat, and then watching them feed and take a few worms to newly fledged young ones (although right now those young’ins aren’t cooperating too well.)
