Today was day 17 after the hatching of 4 out of 5 eggs. It was such a windy day and I believe it impacted where the little ones ended up. We had all 4 in different trees in different directions! Mom and dad were successful in getting 2 in the same tree but it was close to dark and the 2 others were quite a distance from the others. I’m hoping mom stays with 2 and dad the other 2. I’m also hoping to find them all together in the morning!

Awesome! We should all remind our blues to have a posted, and well-rehearsed, “fledge plan”… i.e. “we’ll all meet in the sugar maple by the mailbox, if we get separated…” :)
Glad to hear they made it out safe! The parent bluebirds and young will stick together. The fledglings will constantly chirp loudly in the trees so the parents know where to find them.
