was out of town this weekend and heard a flock of sparrows in some bushes. which are in the middle of a small yard next to a parking lot, and garage. anyone know what kind these are?

Not familiar with where you live – I don’t recognize any, but there are several different species there – something HOSP love! Is this your place? – if so, suggest you don’t put a BB house anywhere close to these, as they are probably house wren territory, also. Get out your sparrow trap!
The first pic looks like a burning bush that has lost some leaves but I can’t be sure. I know they love to hang out in mine!
