I bought the red/silver mylar from sparrowtraps.net a few years ago. I, myself, prefer the old rainbow sparkly mylar. I buy any I can find be it gift wrapping ribbon, bird scare, etc. I think it holds up a lot better than the red/silver stuff. I get a couple of years out of the sparkly mylar compare to just one season for the new type offered now.
