I’ve had a male bring at least 7 females to one of my boxes. All have rejected. I don’t know why. It’s been used in the past. Anyway he finally found a female. She started building a a nest, now shes nowhere to be found. I live in Western NY and we’ve had a ton of rain. My question is. Will she pause building the nest while the weather is so poor? Or is she number 8 in the rejection list.
If she started a nest she didn’t reject the box. The weather may have delayed the action but who really knows?
How do you know these are all different females? I can’t tell them apart!

Atlanta, GAI don’t know if they are different females. It’s 3-5 days each time a female would show up. He presents her the box. She would look it over for 15-20 mins. Then she would fly off. In between that time he’d do his calling. The female started building her nest thursday morning. I still see the male in the morning. I haven’t seen her since. Like I said in my first post. It’s been rainy and cold here.
