I like to see bluebird photos from others as they “tend” their families.
Here is a starter. I took this on this afternoon as the male sat on the shepherd’s hook after he had fed the nesting birds. They are due to fledge tomorrow.

Stafford, VAMay 10, 2016 at 7:20 pm #1848Fantastic pics, Dave. Thanks for sharing. My lone surviving nestling is due to fledge Sunday. What is the acceptable number of days from hatching is fledging expected?
BTW, what kind of camera do you use? I’d love to get close ups like that. My Samsung 7 phone just doesn’t cut it.

The normal range is usually 16-18 days but that can go before or after that.

Atlanta, GAMay 11, 2016 at 10:17 pm #1858Thanks Scot. As Gin stated, most BB authority sites advise 16-18 days from hatching to fledging. Mine have all been 17 days. with one egg going 18.
Mi cameras are a Nikon Coolpix and my iPhone 5C for the nest shots and a Nikon D-3000 with a 55-200 telephoto lens for most of the adult bird photos.
