A couple weeks ago my first bluebird arrived in my yard. Today I was stunned to see my first bluebird pair arrive and they seemed to be building a nest. They started at 1PM stayed for about an hoir and left fornthe rest of the day. I presume to the golf course down the street. This is the kickoff of my personal birding super bowl!! I hope they come back! Praying hard. I prised St Francis a little plaque on the box. By the way I bought a little device I swear must have helped to bring them in …called the Bird Magnet. It has several bird calls that play continuously including bluebird sounds…plugged into a timer. check out my shots:

Congratulations on the pair and start of the nest. That shot of the male in flight is excellent.

Exciting news Phillyblues‼️ It never gets old seeing them hanging around the yard. I love the mister bluebird in flight photo…..thanks for sharing. Good luck with your new nest.

They spent an hour yesterday and an hour today but no nest yet! How long does this process take usually before the nest gets serious?

It depends on the birds. Only they know when they will nest. Sometimes they don’t get in a hurry. There is also a possibility they are just shopping the available real estate.
