Well my little ones are out in the real world. I got to witness the last little girl fledge. I spotted 4 out of five with binoculars pretty far up in a tall tree. Mom is doing a fantastic job.
I cleaned out the box and look forward to round 2, fingers crossed!

Dave, I don’t have anybody of fledge age. That would be Lisa!

Another update on my 5 that fledged on Wednesday. As like other years my little ones are out and about, they have skipped around from tree to tree. Bluejays have been somewhat of a nuisance, but momma doesn’t let her babies down or me either! She is a tough cookie!
Since the loss of daddy a new man is trying to help and win momma over. He doesn’t feed the young but helps get them from place to place and protects them. It seems momma is beginning to show interest in him hmmm…another brood in the future????
With the help of binoculars I saw all 5 huddled in a row on a branch of a tall tree near my home. What a joy it was to see!

I’m a little late, Lisa. So glad they successfully fledged & male is helping somewhat. Good luck for potential 2nd round. Congrats to you & Mama blue!
