May 18, 2017 at 6:42 pm #4335I don’t know why the website won’t come up? I put in the correct link to the photos? Worked on FB!
May 19, 2017 at 12:46 am #4343I believe this is the photo you were trying to post:
May 19, 2017 at 2:06 pm #4345Awwwwww! So cute! The hunkering down stage…11-13 days?
May 19, 2017 at 3:44 pm #4346All males would be really rare. I can’t tell from the picture.

Atlanta, GAMay 22, 2017 at 7:11 pm #4387Thanks Brad ☺ As for how old?
May 22, 2017 at 8:37 pm #4392I still see lots of feather sheaths so I’m guessing about 10-11 days old. That is also why I can’t tell how many males there are. You took that shot on May 18 so by now they are getting ready to fledge. I wouldn’t open the box now.

Atlanta, GAMay 22, 2017 at 10:04 pm #4399Can’t tell yet. Sorry!
May 23, 2017 at 9:43 am #4405Thanks all just concerned now about the new issue the wanna be mom (see my other post) 2 females. Can’t tell about the babies and don’t know to look and check or not because if they are ok I don’t want to make them fledge at the wrong time. So just doing nothing and worrying. Any other ideas the wanna be is still coming and going this morning even before I seen the real Mom?
May 23, 2017 at 10:25 am #4412Are the parents removing fecal sacs still and feeding? Soon the parents be perching near the house, not feeding much, and making a ruckus to encourage the babies to leave the box. The extra female shouldn’t be n worry for you.

May 23, 2017 at 4:36 pm #4420I just got back from an appointment but did see the Dad giving food this morning and the wanna be taking a sac no none really hanging around much, but do all seem to come a peek in the box a lot and without any food?
May 23, 2017 at 8:41 pm #4424They will do that when fledging is near. They want the chicks to be a little hungry so they will come out of the box.

Atlanta, GAMay 24, 2017 at 9:38 pm #4439I sure hope they do get out soon, I have had the terrorist coming around looking and have been chasing them off. First the male now both. I did put the spook thing up we made on the top of the box but the Mom and Dad BB’s went nuts and wouldn’t go near the box so we took it off. I guess it wasn’t on long enough like from the beginning, but never seen any Sparrows until just recently. I know how awful they are, we had many years of issues with the terrorist when we had Martin’s and why we quit, got tired of dealing with the destruction they cause and permanently took down the house …
May 25, 2017 at 8:27 am #4440I hope they come out soon, too. Wonder why the adults were scared of the spooker because they usually are not.

Atlanta, GAMay 25, 2017 at 11:34 am #4442I don’t know why the wouldn’t go to the box and just keep flying around it and not landing like they were not sure what to do so just left each time they came, so we just removed it. The one we made looks just like all the one’s and even the one’s on Google Images when I did a search (HOSP Spooker)?
