Glad everything worked out for you!
Tammy
I checked on them this morning and the parents just seemed agitated. I never saw them feed in about 40 minutes. So I finally just took the hole reducer off. That’s all I could do since I didn’t see the parents even going to the hole. I’m upset but hopeful. They didn’t move a muscle so maybe they will stay in. First time I’ve ever had this happen to me.

I’m still stuck in the fact that you disassembled it and then reconfigured it. I’m mechanically challenged. Good job!
Tammy
Gotcha. Well it sounds like you aren’t giving in.
Tammy
Wow. Great how you stood up to them. I have Martins and I hatE to say it but I can see how they’d want to make a rul about no multi family bird houses. Martins can be really noisy and some people have several poles. But how can little single family boxes hurt anything! Did you have people support you that are in your neighborhood or is that just an online site from people from all over?
Tammy
So the HOA is giving you a hard time, Lisa?
Tammy
Mine are tending 5 eggs and feeding fledglings. Busy parents.
Tammy
Yikes. 75 yards is a huge move. I don’t know how they will find it. Too bad you don’t have the time to do a gradual move. Keep us posted.
Tammy
Congrats, Connie.
Tammy
I agree with Gin. No reason to fret.

woo hoo!Tammy
Bluebirds, in my opinion, are most attracted to nestboxes. Put one up and see if they find it. It takes work to get them to find your meal worm feeder. And that particular feeder take more time then some of them. I feel the grid/jail style feeder is easier for them to navigate initially.
Several of us drew bluebirds to our yards by putting up a nestbox. Then we introduced and offered mealworms in a clear or white smooth sides glass type of shallow dish. A mealworm feeder was our last step.Tammy
Congrats!!! Brad, that nest is save able?!! I normally only save nests that didn’t get used. Mybused nest are usually a flattened mess.
