PennsylvaniaYour pictures are beautiful. I used the exact method that you described above, and I am able to view my own photos. If someone else could please let me know if you can view the photos that I attached, I would appreciate it!
Susan
PennsylvaniaI’m sorry for all of the posts to show a few pictures.
The picture above has Mama and Papa blue with a tree swallow peeking out of her house.
Just a very attentive TRES.
Papa TRES.
This peeking blue bird baby fledged one week ago today!
Susan
PennsylvaniaI think I got this :-) This is Mama Blue with an incoming TRES.

PennsylvaniaI’m not getting this to work yet. What’s weird is that when I copied the photo “address” for the first picture that worked it was like a paragraph long. All of the subsequent pictures had short one-line addresses. I am able to open them with a right click. I am using Google Photos. I will try again using Photobucket. Sorry for the mishaps until I get this worked out. I tried to “edit” the post above, but it would not let me remove it.

PennsylvaniaHere goes nothing. . .
Susan
PennsylvaniaThanks for the feedback. I will try posting them individually.

PennsylvaniaWell, one picture is coming up without the caption. The other 5 are listed. I can only view them if I right click on them and open them in a new tab. Let me know if you can’t view them, and I will try again!
Susan
PennsylvaniaThank you! I will give it a try :-)

PennsylvaniaRandy, your owls are outstanding. It’s just a shame they couldn’t be farther away from the blues. We are lousy with red-tail hawks around here. They are beautiful birds, but they are a real threat for my songbirds. I can’t even let my chihuahuas out in the yard unattended!

PennsylvaniaI wonder what’s up with the quick nests this year? My couple was hard at work three days after the babies fledged. The nest looked beautiful and complete on Saturday. I checked the nest about an hour ago, but there were no eggs.

PennsylvaniaHi Randy: My husband got me a Canon EOS Rebel T5i for Christmas that I just LOVE! With the zoom lens, I can sit on my deck and get fantastic pictures of my blues, TRES, and any other critters that look interesting. My son got me a tripod and a remote control for the camera shutter which is also “nifty.” There is just so much out there to photograph. . . my farmer neighbors dug out an irrigation pond about 100 yards off the back of my property, and it has become a sanctuary for ducks, geese and a pair of sand hill cranes! Word of warning: a good camera will increase your bird-watching obsession. I drive my husband crazy by running for the camera every time I see something interesting!

PennsylvaniaI took the sparrow spooker off of the house today. I peeked into the bluebird house, and they have a complete nest built already. I haven’t seen mama and papa at all today. I hope they are tending the new fledglings! I was worried about the babies yesterday, because the adults seemed so intent on working on that nest. I think Randy is right. . .the bluebirds are afraid of the tree swallows taking their house. It will be interesting to see when more eggs appear.

PennsylvaniaGood Luck with Round 3, Carol. I hope you are doing something fun over the 4th. :-D It will be exciting to see the progress in your box when you return.

PennsylvaniaI think you’re right. I will get the spooker off tomorrow. I doubt the HOSP will get anywhere near that swallow house. The adult swallows are relentless. I can’t even take my dogs into the back yard without being dive-bombed. I’m thinking that next year I will separate the TRES and EABL houses onto separate poles. I was going to do that this year, and then the couples moved in before I had a chance to erect a new pole.
