No Carol, I did not know to put up a heat shield, :( And you are so right it was in the upper 90’s the time they should have been hatching. IF I could post a pic of the 5 eggs it was a dated pic,but don’t remember how.
PamiHi Carol,
I too was concerned about a nest, she had layed only 2 eggs, after 21 days I checked and still 2 eggs, I decided to check other boxes and sure enough without me seeing them they had a new nest with 6 eggs in it. Now I don’t know what to do with the nest with 2 eggs in it.
Maybe Gin or Tammy might reply here.
PamiHi Carol, glad to be back too, my bluebirds have been around all winter, but not eating the re hydrated mealworms ……UNTIL…..this morning, both my boxes are clean & ready for the couple, Papa Mike & Momma Ta to call home.
I too had droppings in my box this year, 1st time. I took pictures of it to post here but I have know idea how to post pics, lol hoping it was my Bluebird pair as I did see them all winter long. I tryed feeding them the rehydrate mealworms but the titmouses always got to them first. Both houses are cleaned out and ready for nesting.
