Yes, Carol!!! My thoughts exactly and thanks for saying that. I posted it on a purple martin group and no one acted like it was a big deal even though several people there are always mentioning her site. I went, just because I knew she was speaking. Are you doing any programs that you know about?
Tammy
Whoa….that’s a huge picture. Oh well. Thanks Randy. I used Imagflip because thats what i’m comfortable using but I wouldn’t have thought of it if you hadn’t suggested yours.
I’ll have to try yours. I make business images through these type of websites.-

I have caught 3 this week also. They are trying in at least half of my 24 boxes! I lent my trap to my friend who caught 3 in one day.

I am dealing with house wrens at two friends’ houses. I don’t have that issue here. I would much rather deal with HOSP.
Tammy
Really cool photos of your deer, Randy!!!
Tammy
Lisa!! Already?!! What state are you in? I should remember but I’m helping with a FB Martin page that has over 1200 members… So everyone is mixed up in my mind. I don’t have any nest box interest right now.
Tammy
Duh….just saw that yournpost is titled “Cooper’s”. Sorry! I have seen a few piles of MODO feathers around but not a lot….with as many as there are and as slow and clueless as they are you’d sure think they’d be a Hawks main staple.
I don’t have a sharpie here.Tammy
I’m terrible at telling the difference between the sharp-shinned and the Coopers.
Tammy
It looks like a sharp-shinned from size and shape but the tail looks like a Coopers. What is it? I understand where you’re coming from. I like to look at them when they are in my backyard and take photos of them but I’ve had one kill my male bluebird so I usually shoo them away.
Tammy
Really great sharp photos. Mine overwinter here in NW Ohio. As usual they disappear in August and return late September.
Tammy
Ditto to what Carol said. They won’t nest until it’s the right time for them. But keep those house sparrows out!
Tammy
They eat everything!!!
Tammy
I have hummers part of the spring until early fall. Then goldfinches stay all year here.

Cardon, it seems that there’s no rhyme or reason why bluebirds in some areas migrate and in other areas they don’t. I have mine here in NW Ohio all winter. The last brood and the parents stay around. I feed mealworms mostly but sometimes crumble up homemade Suet and put it in the mealworm bowl. Hope yours stay.

Seriously? Photobucket won’t let me share my photos with a third party now? That’s the only reason I have it! That makes this forum here harder to use as far as posting photos for me. I guess I’ll have to look for something else.
I have the bluebird feeder advertised on this site. It’s expensive but very well made and bluebirds take to it quickly. These grid style feeders work well. Just make sure the distance to the cup inside th feeder is far enough so that bigger birds can’t reach the cup. I had a square one that the grackles and starlings could get food by reaching in.-
