David, just saw your question. Do you have an edit button at the top of that post? (The one you need to add a photo to?)If so I think you can add a photo. If not, I may be able to add it for you…or just add to the bottom of this thread. That would be the easiest.

That’s great, Lisa.

I’m glad it doesn’t get that hot up here, although tomorrow it’s suppose to be 100. But it never stays like that.
Tammy
Never ever have had pink eggs. Only my TRES eggs are slightly pink. Cool.
Tammy
You could always strap some ice packs to it. ?? I’m thinking that only a couple of days of heat won’t hurt. Think of the bluebirds in TX….it’s hot there.

So sorry, Renee. I hate wrens!! I haven’t seen many here but I have one friend that had wrens destroy eggs and another friend and my daughter that had to use Wren guards.
Tammy
I love Rainbow Mealworms. Try like you said to offer it when there are babies. I’m not sure why yours aren’t finding them.
Tammy
Yay!
Tammy
Maybe if you truly don’t feel they are getting enough nutrition you could supplement feed them little pieces of mealworms for a couple of days. I’ve done that with baby martins to give them a boost.
Tammy
Wow…she’s one fertile momma, Gin!
Judy,go ahead and take the nest out. Sorry….those darn wrens. Do you have sides on your Wren guard?Tammy
I agree..better to be safe and make sure than sorry. Do Carols suggestion.

A pie plate might work.
Tammy
It just takes time as Carol said. Put it under wherever they perch. So they can look down and see it. PLace it on a plant stand or something. Put them in some sort of shallow bowl or plate, white or clear so they can see the worms easily.
Tammy
Dlibby, could a predator have gotten in their box last time without you knowing it? It sounds like you monitor regularly so that doesn’t seem possible. That’s the only reason besides the death of your couple that I can think of. You have predator guards on right? Maybe just maybe they’ll nest in the next month there still!
