Nothing.2 or 3 times I’ve caught a HOSP with nothing in the seed tray but that’s unusual. Do you have the trap? Just try it and see. Elevating it would help your situation. Give it asked surface though.

Could be either but I think you’d see it if it was a house sparrow. I had a house sparrow that removed babies 5 times (I think) in one day. He barely reached in his head And snatched them up and dropped then on the ground. I kept putting them back in. If you have a house wren you might need to start using a aren guard.

Up here weens haven’t started nests. Where are you?

That is puzzling. I’ve heard that usually bites from a cat end up fatal because of infection from the cat bite. if that is true this could be a different male and that might explain them building again. There’s really nothing you can do except watch and see what happens. That cat is going to be a continued issue.

Yay….you have white egg laying female. How exciting. My first one laid white eggs. I have no idea about the dents. The doesn’t look like it has compromised the egg but I’m not sure if that’s normal or not.

SEnt you both a PM. Hope it worked and you can see everything. If not, let me know.
Tammy
It could be a house sparrow or a wren. You can leave the nest or remove it. I tend to remove the nests but maybe she would start quickly laying again if you left it. It’s harped to know. I’m so sorry. I know it’s heart breaking. You really need to figure out who the culprit is to try to avoid this in the future. Do you have house wrens around?
Tammy
OK. Thanks. I don’t remember Troyers cup made out of wood but I can picture what you mean.
Tammy
OK. Sounds good. I was wondering.
Tammy
What about something as simple as this? With holes.

Yeah, we get to live vicariously through you. Tammy
Yes, let me get my act together this morning and I’ll PM both of you.
Tammy
Since the research is saying great things of the two-holed mansion, then why don’t you use that, Fred? Just curious.
